RESULTS FROM DEALING WITH ROCK AND GAS OUTBURST PREVENTION IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC EFEKTY DZIAŁAŃ MAJĄCYCH NA CELU ZAPOBIEGANIE WYBUCHOM SKAŁ I GAZU, PODEJMOWANYCH W REPUBLICE CZESKIEJIn the Czech Republic, the prevention of rock and gas outbursts is carried out in the course of driving mine workings in seams and in sandstone and conglomerate beds classified into a category with the highest degree of rock and gas outburst hazard. It is a case of active methods that aim at prevention of rock and gas outbursts by creating a protection zone in front of and in sides of mine workings being driven and passive methods that mitigate the effects of outbursts (Hudeček et al., 2009.In this article, authors present recommendations and proposals for changes in rock and gas outburst prevention. These proposed changes should reflect in increased efficiency in coping with this anomalous geomechanical events.Działania w celu zapobiegania wybuchom skał i gazów w Republice czeskiej podejmowane są już na etapie drążenia wyrobisk w złożach oraz w piaskowcach oraz w pokładach zlepieńców sklasyfikowanych jako lokalizacje o najwyższym stopniu zagrożenia wybuchami skał i gazów. W tym przypadku mamy do dyspozycji metody aktywne, których celem jest zapobieżenie wybuchom skał i gazów poprzez stworzenie strefy ochronnej w części czołowej i bocznych częściach wyrobiska oraz metody bierne, mające na celu złagodzenie skutków wybuchu (Hudecek et al., 2009(Hudecek et al., , 2010.W artykule autor rekomenduje i zaleca dokonanie pewnych zmian w systemie zapobiegania wybuchom skał i gazów. Proponowane zmiany skutkować powinny zwiększoną skutecznością działania w przypadku wystąpienia zjawisk geomechanicznych uznawanych za anomalie.Słowa kluczowe: zapobieganie wybuchom, mieszanina skał i gazów, ciśnienie gazu, otwory

The aim of this study was to explore the evolution and release rule of internal energy storage in the process of coal and gas outburst and to further reveal the mechanism of coal and gas outburst from the perspective of energy. In this paper, the experiment of gas expansion energy release of coal samples under different adsorption pressures and with different moisture contents was carried out with the self-developed experimental device for release of gas-bearing coal expansion energy under load, and the energy of the whole outburst process was divided into three parts: the total expansion energy of gas, the energy consumed by destroying and throwing out coal body and the energy released inefficiently. On the basis of reasonable assumption, the energy evolution calculation model of each part was constructed with mathematical method. By analyzing the changes and distribution rules of three parts of energy under different experimental conditions, this paper explored the controlling effects of gas pressure, water content, and other variables on the energy evolution rules in the process of coal and gas outburst. Experimental and theoretical studies showed that in the gas-dominated coal and gas outburst process, the destruction of coal body was in the form of stratification; under each experimental condition, there existed a critical gas pressure value for the occurrence of coal and gas outburst, and there was a sudden change of energy evolution near this value; the existence of water made the critical pressure and the minimum energy consumption of coal and gas outburst increase obviously; under the experimental conditions, there was a linear relationship between the critical gas pressure and water content and a positive exponential relationship between the minimum energy consumption and water content.

“…So here, these nine parameters involved in outburst are selected as the main parameters to construct the interaction matrix and to establish the assessment system, and the suggested rating values of these nine parameters can be seen in Iable 2. ABSTRAeTIn this study, a new approach is proposed and developed for evaluating the comprehensive outburst index (range between Oand 100), which is a quantitative assessment approach and will enable us to better understand the risk degree of coal and gas outburst in coal mines. By selecting some typical risk-free and high-risk outburst mines from China as the evaluation targets, we assessed their comprehensive outburst indexes with the developed approach. The assessment results are fully consistent with the actual situations, which indicates that our new developed approach is reliable and can be recommended for applying in more coal mines.
