Analysis of survey data of breeding herd for reproductive management practices in swine farms of Punjab

Abstract: The present survey was performed to analyze standard operating procedures for swine development and fertility based on prevailing reproductive management practices among different swine farms of Punjab. The average farrowing rate, farrowing interval, weaning to estrus interval, weaning to conception interval and age at first breeding were 71.5±11.4%, 165.4±13.8 days, 8.3±2.1 days, 42.7±11.0 days and 8.1±1.3 months, respectively.
