Abstract:Coupled Reaction Channel Calculations have been performed for transitions to ground and first excited states of 17 F and 17 O at deuteron incident energies from E d =2.279 MeV up to 3.186 MeV. The n+ 16 O and p+ 16 O astrophysical direct capture cross sections have been calculated using the spectroscopic factors obtained from 16 O(d,p) 17 O and 16 O(d,n) 17 F transfer reactions. The astrophysical S-factors are compared to recent experimental data. The Maxwellian-averaged neutron capture cross section at kT=30 … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
