Accompanied by the continuous improvement of living standards, people's requirements for housing have become higher and higher, and on the basis of meeting the basic needs of life, the artistry of interior decoration has become more and more important. After clarifying the workflow of building information technology modeling, the study builds a management platform based on BIM technology in the Revit environment to achieve high-precision decoration design. Subsequently, the Kinect sensor was used to obtain point cloud data of the interior decoration scene and combined with the improved ICP matching algorithm for visual 3D modeling of interior decoration to evaluate the effect of high-precision interior decoration design. The mean values of satisfaction for the presentation of interior decoration style in the top view were 5.524 and 22.45 for usability, and the mean values of satisfaction and suitability for the presentation of interior decoration color in the top view were 5.812 and 22.22, respectively. For the layout carrier, the mean values of satisfaction for the presentation of the top view were 5.905 and 22.62 for usability. The use of BIM technology in high-density interior design leads to better results.
