Analysis of the Constituents in Rat Serum after Oral Administration of Fufang Zhenzhu Tiaozhi Capsule by UPLC–Q–TOF–MS/MS

Abstract: A rapid and sensitive UPLC/Q–TOF–MS method has been established for analysis of the constituents in rat serum after oral administration of Fufang Zhenzhu Tiaozhi (FTZ) capsule, an effective compound prescription for treating hyperlipidemia in the clinic. The UPLC/MS information of samples was obtained first in FTZ preparation and FTZ-treated rat serum. Mass spectra were acquired in both negative and positive ion modes. Thirty-six constituents in rat serum after oral administration of FTZ were detected, includi… Show more

“…FTZ was gifted by GUANGDONG METABOLIC DISEASES RESEARCH CENTER OF INTEGRATED CHINESE AND WESTERN MEDICINE (Guangzhou, China). The quality analysis of FTZ extract was performed by HPLC fingerprint method as previously reported [ 11 ]. A voucher specimen was deposited in the Institute of Chinese Medicine of Guangdong Pharmaceutical University.…”

“…Over the past decade, LC-MS-based quantitative bioanalysis has grown to replace other analytical methods, such as LC-UV and gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS), to measure ginsenoside concentrations in biological samples owing to its superior sensitivity, selectivity, speed and dynamic range (Gong et al, 2015;Zhong et al, 2012). Xie et al established a method for quantification of ginsenoside Rg3 and its metabolites in rat plasma based on LC-MS (Xie et al, 2005).…”
