Analysis of the Impact of the Change of Primary and Secondary AlSi9Cu3 Alloy Ratio in the Batch on its Performance

Abstract: The ratio of primary and secondary alloy in the batch is important in determining and evaluating the quality of the alloy. The resulting quality of the casting and the costs associated with its production are directly related to the composition of the raw materials entering the smelting process. With the use of an alloy composed of a high proportion of recycled material a negative effect on performance can be expected despite its economic benefits. Based on the results of thermal analysis, mechanical propertie… Show more

“…The casting temperature was in the range of 750-760 • C and the temperature of the metal mold was set at 100 ± 5 • C. The melt was not vaccinated, modified, or refined. Before casting, only the oxide films were removed mechanically [19]. The samples (1 cm × 1 cm) for metallographic observations were prepared by standard metallographic procedures (wet ground, polished with diamond pastes, finally polished with commercial fine silica slurry (STRUERS OP-U, Prague, Czech Republic) from selected tensile specimens (after testing).…”

“…Such applications can be seen primarily in connection with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) [ 1 , 2 ], unmanned ground vehicles (UGV) [ 3 , 4 ], autonomous vehicles [ 5 ], or with household devices, such as robotic vacuum cleaners and the like [ 6 ]. At the same time, sensors for sensing physical quantities are being developed for industrial applications [ 7 , 8 ], which show the increasingly significant direction of development and the physical possibilities of the future development of various types of sensors including new body materials [ 9 , 10 ]. In the field of industry, not only point and line lasers are used for measurement and inspection systems.…”

“…The second way is through the detection of anomalies by methods such as autoencoders, U-networks, visual transformers, and the like included in the area of unsupervised learning. Based on works [ 5 , 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 ], this is suitable for the initial identification of anomalies and the application of unsupervised learning methods in the first step. The field of visual data is relatively well processed and verified for the field of autoencoders.…”

“…The reason for the large discrepancies between the ideal laboratory conditions and the real conditions prevailing in the industry are differences in the actual chemical composition of the alloys. These differences are mainly influenced by impurities originating not only from the course of metallurgical processes, but mainly due to the use of input material in the form of reprocessing of material after the exploitation process or waste material from other production processes [29][30][31][32][33][34][35][36].…”
