Analysis of the input power flow characteristics of cylindrical shells with combination boundaries

Abstract: In this study, the input power flow problem of the cylindrical shell with complex acoustic boundaries was investigated. According to the acoustic characteristic of control domain which combination free interface and rigid wall interface at the same time for the cylindrical shell, the double reflection method and mirror image method were applied, and the analytical function of the input power flow for the cylindrical shell was derived. Finally, a cylindrical shell in the quarterinfinite acoustic space for examp… Show more

“…The main components of an axial fan include an intake box, inlet and outlet flexible connection, main casing, impeller and supporting main bearing group, diffuser, hydraulic regulation system, etc. [8]. When the fan is in operation, the air flowing into the fan from the system pipeline changes direction through the intake box and flows to the impeller to achieve pressurization after converging and accelerating through the collector.…”

“…According to the research results by Chan [20], Chen [21,22] and Guo [24], the double reflection method is highly effective to solve the acoustic radiation problem in the quarterinfinite acoustic space. The double reflection method states that the quarter-infinite space has four acoustic radiation sources, as shown in Figure 3.…”

“…The double reflection method is presented to address multiple issues caused by the acoustic boundary [19,20]. Multiple boundary problems can be solved by combining the double reflection method with the elastic wave Graf addition principle and the research scope for vibro-acoustic problems to vibration power flow problems has been extended with the inclusion of the right-angle domain of the acoustic radiation from the cylindrical shell structure [21][22][23][24]. It is necessary and feasible to study the noise characteristics caused by a pipeline structure in a rigid corner of a cabin.…”
