Analysis of the profitability of poultry egg production in Etim Ekpo Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria

Abstract: The study analyses the profitability of poultry egg production in Etim Ekpo Local Area of Akwa Ibom State. Primary data were collected from 75 poultry egg producers selected through a multi-stage sampling technique, using a structured questionnaire. Percentage, frequency and budgetary analysis were used to analyze the data. The findings revealed that majority of poultry egg producers were male representing about 71% of the poultry egg producers, and the mean age was 41 years.
