In the Russian Federation, half of the agricultural products are produced by the small businesses of the agricultural sector, and within a short period of the peasant (farm) enterprises' existence, they have proved the sustainable development efficiency in the different conditions. The land use analysis has been carried out based on the medium size land-tenures of the peasant enterprises and individual entrepreneurs. The significant differentiation of the agricultural enterprises across the districts of the Voronezh region has been revealed. But despite a number of objective and subjective difficulties, these enterprises have become a real entrepreneurial power in the agribusiness, therefore they require a more detailed study and substantiation of the prospects of their development
