Analysis of Topical Subject Matter and Communicative Characteristics of Authentic Texts for a Foreign-Language Textbook for “Automobile Service” Speciality

Abstract

In the article, the importance of the wide representation of modern scientific and technical information reflecting the objects and tasks of a bachelor’s professional activity in accordance with the list of the main careers of this engineering specialization in a foreign-language textbook for “Automobile Service” speciality is substantiated. Arguments for selecting a specific typology of oral and written authentic texts to create exercises that effectively form bachelors’ ability for cross-cultural communication in the framework of professional, business and scientific discourse are presented.
