This study focuses on the revolutionary influence of IoT technology on improving public safety and security in smart cities, with an emphasis on surveillance systems, emergency response mechanisms, and crime prediction models. IoT-enabled surveillance systems, which use connected devices, sensors, and advanced analytics, enable proactive monitoring of public spaces with features such as facial recognition and anomaly detection, while IoT-driven emergency response mechanisms allow for faster and more informed responses to critical incidents.
