Abstract:A comparison of square-wave voltammetry models for calculating the number of electrons exchanged in a metal deposition reaction. Square-wave voltammetry is extremely useful for isolating the behavior of a single reaction in a mixed solution of many reacting species. Being able to identify the number of electrons exchanged in a reaction is extremely useful for identifying and characterizing unknown compounds in a process, such as electrorefining, molten salt reactors, and electrolytic oxide reduction. scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
