Abstract:The present study examined the effect of viscosity and heat-conduction on the internal structure of a plane shock wave in a two-phase gas-solid particles medium. The governing fluid flow equations (i.e., Navier-Stokes equations) are used to obtain the exact solutions supplemented with equations of state and nonlinear thermodynamically consistent constitutive relations.
