Analytic model studies of polarized baryon production
B. Boldizsár
Abstract:We investigate known exact solutions of hydrodynamics and derive analytic formulas for the polarization of baryons produced at freeze-out. Such polarization (observed in high energy heavy-ion experiments) carries information on the time evolution of the quark-gluon plasma (sQGP), and our results give first analytic insight into the connection between this type of measurements and dynamical properties of the sQGP (e.g. vorticity). We present results for a rotating and acceleratingly expanding solution and also … Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
