Analytical simulation of normal shock waves in turbulent flow

Abstract: The focus of the work is on analytical modeling of normal shock wave propagation in a turbulent adiabatic gas flow. For this, a modified Rankine–Hugoniot model was developed. A solution is obtained for the Rankine–Hugoniot conditions in a turbulent gas flow with different turbulence intensity. Variation of the velocity of an adiabatic turbulent gas flow during its passage through a normal shock wave is elucidated depending on the turbulence intensity.
