Analyzing sustainable power supply chain performance

Abstract: PurposeThe power industry is the pillar industry of the Chinese economy, and also a major carbon emitter. The performances of both the production and operation of the power industry are crucial for a harmonious development of society. This study proposes an improved data envelopment analysis (DEA) model to analyze the sustainable performance of China's power supply chain (PSC).Design/methodology/approachTo analyze the sustainable performance of PSC systems in China's provincial regions, this study proposes a t… Show more

“…También se ha demostrado que las CS bien gestionadas pueden proporcionar ventajas competitivas para las organizaciones, las regiones y los países. Se reconoce que para lograr ese objetivo se necesita ser productivo (Sun, Xu y Li, 2020;Elgazzar, Tipi y (Tyagi, Kumar y Kumar, 2017) y gestionar la CS por procesos (Tundys y Fernando, 2020;Miri-Lavassani, 2018).…”

“…More recently, Badiezadeh et al (2018) improved the traditional network DEA model by proposing a double-frontier model to evaluate the optimistic and pessimistic efficiencies of the supply chain. To analyze the sustainable performance of China's regional power supply chain, Sun et al (2020) proposed a two-stage DEA model. Their model not only considers the leader-follower game relationship between the power generation system and the retail system, but also measures the technical gap present in the former.…”

“…The DDF technique was first proposed by Chambers et al (1996) and effectively solved the shortcomings of Shephard's DDF technique. While expanding the desirable output, the DDF method can reduce the input as well as the undesired output in the same proportion (Sun et al, 2019(Sun et al, , 2020. This advantage is why the DDF method is widely used by scholars.…”

“…Any PSCS typically includes both a power generation subsystem (PGS) [1] and a power retail subsystem (PRS) [2] (Sun et al , 2020). Many studies investigated the performances of PGS or PRS.…”
