Dr. Sultan has been recognized as one of the World's Top 2% Scientists (2023) by Stanford University/Elsevier. He also ranked No. 1 as a Scientist in Agricultural Engineering (Pakistan) according to the AD Scientific Index. He has published more than 300 articles in international journals, conferences, books, and book chapters. He has been a reviewer for more than 100 renowned journals and holds editor roles for 15 SCI journals.His research focuses on developing energy-efficient temperature and humidity control systems for agricultural applications including greenhouse, fruit/vegetable storage, livestock, and poultry applications. His research involves adsorption heat pumps, desiccant air-conditioning, evaporative cooling, Maisotsenko cycle, adsorption desalination, energy recovery ventilator, atmospheric water harvesting, and wastewater treatment.
