Abstract:The authors review the development of the BMS over the past 30 years divided into three decades. The previous analyses of the first and second decades are presented and commented, and then the recent full co-word analysis to all BMS research articles and ongoing research notes is presented and interpreted to provide an overall but detailed portrait of the BMS, its evolution and possible future development.
