Anaphylactoid reaction to Haemaccel® infusion and contact sensitization to Opticlude® orthoptic eye patches: a case report

Abstract: SUMMARY A 46‐year‐old female patient undergoing hemiglossectomy with supraomohyoid neck dissection under general anesthesia suffered acute bronchospasm which was successfully treated with subcutaneous terbutaline. The only other noticeable adverse event during induction of anesthesia was the development of periorbital skin erythema encircling the Opticlude® orthoptic eye patches within a few minutes of application.
