Anatomía comparativa de raíz, tallo, hoja y base del pedúnculo de Manfreda (Asparagaceae: Agavoideae)

Abstract: Se estudió comparativamente la anatomía vegetativa de 13 especies de Manfreda. Las muestras recolectadas en el campo fueron procesadas con la técnica de inclusión en parafina. Todas las especies presentan raíces contráctiles y fibrosas, algunas con células internas lignificadas formando una banda de 1-5 estratos. Manfreda nanchititlensis se caracteriza por tener células endodérmicas engrosadas.
