Abstract:Small-for-gestational age (SGA) neonates are at increased risk for perinatal mortality and morbidity. Studies have demonstrated signs of brain reorganization, impaired neurodevelopment, and increased risk of metabolic and cardiac diseases during childhood and adult life.
