Anglo‐Spanish Enlightenment: Joseph Shepherd, an English ‘ilustrado' in Valladolid

Abstract: This article studies Joseph Shepherd and his role in Anglo‐Spanish cultural exchange in the last decades of the eighteenth century, at the dawn of Anglophilia in Spain.
