[20] Infrared/visible sum frequency generation (SFG) spectroscopy was applied to an octadecyl monolayer on hydrogen-terminated Si(111) surfaces to characterize the conformation and orientation of the chains in the monolayer. [21] The tilt angle was estimated and the data suggested an epitaxial arrangement of the monolayer on the Si(111) substrate.…”
