The convergence of supramolecular chemistry and polymer chemistry fosters the development of new concepts and principles and provides a platform for understanding the fundamental interactions and processes that govern the behavior of materials at the molecular level. Synergistic combination of the principles enables a more precise design and control of macroscopic structure and properties by utilizing properly designed macromolecular building blocks.
