Abstract:The 30-and 1% molecular orbital contributions to the Oxygen Ko( emission band of the hydroxyl ion can be separated by making use of the fact that, in the Mg(0H) structure, all OH dipoles are oriented parallel to the c-axis. The 02K& component due with a Ill-+ Is transition at 525.5 eV has its maximum intensity parallel to the crystallographic c-direction COO11 , while the 3 4 -1 s component is emitted mainly in the zone (hkO), normal to the c-direction. The 3 4 + 1 s component appears to be split due to electr… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
