“…Therefore, it may serve as a prognostic marker for HCC 1519 . Intracellular Galectin-3 is mostly a monomeric soluble protein regulating apoptosis 2024 and phosphorylation of AKT in cytoplasm 25, 26 , and Wnt/β-catenin pathway, transcription and pro-mRNA splicing in nucleus 27–33 .…”

“…Recently, we found CRKL was linked to the lymphatic metastasis of hepatocarcinoma [23]. Using murine hepatocarcinoma Hca-P cell line, an ideal cell line for mimicking the initial (low) and specific lymph node metastasis (LNM) of hepatocarcinoma in vitro and in vivo [2,4,[23][24][25][26][27][28], we found CKLP overexpression effectively inhibits the in vitro proliferation, migration and invasion capacities of Hca-P cells [23]. Herein, the potential tumor suppressor role of CRKL in Hca-P was further validated by RNAi silencing combined with in vitro proliferation, migration and invasion assays and with in vivo tumorigenicity and LNM rate and level determinations.…”

“…Its overexpression in Hca-P, an initial (low) and specific lymph node metastasis (LNM) murine hepatocarcinoma cell line [2,4,[23][24][25][26][27][28], suppresses the in vitro proliferation, migration and invasion abilities of Hca-P cells. In current work, we continuously validated the potential tumor suppressor role of Our previous study (Biomed Pharmacother 2015;69:11) demonstrated that the over-expression of CRKL, a chicken tumor virus number 10 regulator of kinase-like protein, suppresses in vitro proliferation, invasion and migration of murine hepatocarcinoma Hca-P cell, a murine HCC cell with lymph node metastatic (LNM) rate of $25%.…”

“…ANXA7 down-regulation abolished anti-apoptotic activity of galectin-3 [25,26]. Our previous studies have shown that ANXA7 and galectin-3 have correlation with the proliferation ability [27]. In summary, the reduced expression of ANXA7 could decrease proliferation of the hepatocarcinoma cell and induce apoptosis mainly by affecting the expression of the apoptosis associated proteins by the mitochondrial pathway of apoptosis.…”

“…ALG-2 is a Ca 2+ -binding protein that belongs to the penta-EF-hand (PEF) protein family. In addition, galetin-3, a binding parter of ANXA7 has been identified previously in our laboratory and other laboratories as being involved in the development, progression invasion and metastasis of malignant tumor [9,[25][26][27]. Galetin-3 is an oncogenic protein with an anti-apoptotic activity, protection of mitochondrial integrity and down-regulation of caspases [25].…”
