Annual Evaluation of Daylight Discomfort Glare: State of the Art and Description of a New Simplified Approach

Abstract: A simplified approach that was developed for annual daylight glare analyses in buildings is presented. The approach enables to classify a whole space in terms of daylight glare comfort classes (imperceptible glare, perceptible glare, disturbing glare and intolerable glare) through the eye vertical illuminance, and it was validated against DGP values.
