Abstract:We previously investigated anomalous phenomena in pressure drops of (drag-reducing) rod-like micelle surfactant solutions passing small apertures. Compared with water results, pressure drops of rod-like micelle surfactant solutions rose steeply at any Reynolds number. The anomalous pressure drops was dependence of molar concentration ratio, which was relationship between molar concentration of cationic surfactant solution and those of counter ion. For only the ratio = 1.0, anomaly of pressure drops was obtaine… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
