Antarctic Akademik Vernadsky Station: updated chronicle of important events

Abstract

The author describes the chronicle of important events related to the official acceptance of the British Faraday Station by Ukraine as well as scientific and organizational measures of state authorities to coordinate and ensure Antarctic research and formation of the Ukrainian Antarctic Akademik Vernadsky Station in 1995-1996.
 It is noted that Ukraine's receiving of the Faraday Station is a significant geopolitical historical milestone for our country as well as an integral result of the successful implementation of the fundamentally important events described in the article.
