Antenna sensitivity variation depending on the installation of a shield can

Abstract: This letter investigates antenna sensitivity with various installations of a shield can. A commonly used shield can, which is widely used to mitigate electromagnetic interference (EMI) in electronic devices, will produce a spurious resonance by the gap between the shield can and the ground when the shield can is mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB) with only a few soldering points.
