Anterior dislocation of a Morcher capsular tension ring

Abstract

We report the rare complication of anterior dislocation of a capsular tension ring (CTR) and a simple management option, with excellent results and no inflammatory or pressure-related sequelae.

[2][3][4][5] Although there are relatively few contraindications for CTR implantation, surgeons should be aware of them. Noncircular or linear tears in the posterior or anterior capsule are the most notable contraindications for CTR implantation.…”
