Anterior segment ischemia following scleral buckle surgery: The forgotten enemy

Abstract: Anterior segment ischemia (ASI) is a rare, almost forgotten complication of scleral buckle (SB) surgery. The course varies from mild self-limited to severe type causing significant vision loss. A number of local and systemic factors can precipitate ASI.
