“…The initial subject is related to hydroxy groups bonding between binder and silica nanoparticles surface, which increase according to surface energy 62 , 63 . In addition, the high surface area to volume ratio (a unique feature) of FSN causes the combinability of binder molecules with fumed silica particles to increase 64 . Silica NPs could support binder molecules through chemical bonds and physical reaction (van der Waals force) 65 .…”

“…They both have absorptions bands at 1010, 1131 and 784 cm −1 , which are assigned to the Si–O–Si stretching vibration. The peak around 1010 cm −1 indicates that there is a cage structure in the PSQ, the peak at 1131 cm −1 indicates that there is a ladder or layered structure in the PSQ, and the peak at 784 cm −1 is ascribed to Si–C bond stretching vibration [25,26,27]. At last, the peaks at 910 and 1461 cm −1 are attributed to epoxy and N–H bonds [27,28], and the absorption band at 1640 cm −1 corresponds to bending vibration of the hydroxyl group of absorbed water.…”

“…The peak at 782 cm À1 of Si-C bond stretching vibration peak existed in the spectra of both PSQ and PPSQ. 36,41,42 The rocking vibration absorption of primary amine at 850 cm À1 disappeared in PPSQ, which indicates that the amino group reacted with phosphite.…”

“…36 The peaks at 2941 and 2872 cm À1 related to the vibration of C-H in CH 2 group were illustrated in the two curves. 41 The absorptions bands at 1030 and 1115 cm À1 are assigned to the Si-O-Si stretching vibration. The peaks around 1030 cm À1 and 1115 cm À1 indicate that the PSQ has a cage structure and a ladder or layered structure, respectively.…”
