Anti-Corrosive Propensity of Alstonia boonei towards Copper in 0.5 M HCl

Abstract: Inhibitive efficacy of Alstonia boonei leaves extract to combat acid corrosion of copper at the room temperature (30°C) was investigated using chemical method. Various corrosion parameters, viz. corrosion rate (ρ corr ), inhibition efficiency (%IE), adsorption equilibrium constant (K ad ), degree of fractional surface coverage () were evaluated using experimental data.
