Anti-fatigue Effects of Santé Premium Silver Perch Essence on Exhaustive Swimming Exercise Performance in Rats

Abstract: Aim: Fish soup is a traditional Chinese food usually offered as a healthy supplement to elders, pregnant women and persons who just had surgery. Silver perch (Santé premium silver perch essence, SPSPE) extract contains various quality proteins, collagen, minerals, trace elements, and branch chain amino acids (BCAA) that could help individuals recover from exhaustion and control body weight. “…The accumulation of BLA is a commonly accepted reason of fatigue. According to several studies, H + isolated from lactic acid alters the pH of the body, leading to damage to certain organs and fatigue (Chen et al., 2021). Four specific time points were selected to measure BLA levels as weight‐loaded swimming 5 min, at the point of exhaustion, 20 min after exhaustion, and during exercise‐induced exhaustion again, respectively (Figure 3a).…”

“…Mb provides an important carrier for the body to transport and store oxygen. A larger Mb content is usually observed in slow‐twitch fiber compared to fast‐twitch fiber (Chen et al., 2021). Our results showed in Figure 4f that SCIP supplementation significantly ( p < 0.05) upregulated Mb content in muscle with increasing dose.…”
