Anti-resonant reflecting photonic crystal vertical-cavity surface-emitting lasers

Abstract: Anti-resonant reflecting photonic crystal structure is employed in vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) to achieve photon confinement in lateral direction. Such a design is promising in supporting large aperture single-mode emission.
