Abstract: Lemon balm (Melissa officinalis L.) belongs to the Lamiaceae family. Essential oil extracted from the aerial parts of lemon balm has been investigated for the protection of fruits during storage, as insecticidal, as well as in medicine, due to its bioactive properties.
