Abstract:Introduction: Bacterial infections, particularly by Aggregatibacter actinomycetemcomitans (A. actinomycetemcomitans) and Porphyromonas gingivalis (P. gingivalis), can worsen alveolar bone resorption after tooth extraction. The capability of Bovine Amniotic Membrane-Hydroxyapatite (BAM-HA) biocomposite to reduce this resorption has been explored.
