“…Biodentine ® , EndoSequence ® Root Repair Material and Portland cement (Lenherr et al 2012; Nazzal et al 2015). In vitro and in vivo studies have used bioceramics to demonstrate antibacterial effects (Elshamy et al 2016), biocompatibility to pulp tissue and induction of dental pulp cells proliferation and reparative dentine bridge formation (Liu et al 2015), whilst producing significantly less discolouration. It is certain that the recommendations for coronal seal material will change as more information on the suitability of these materials become available.…”

“…directly restoring the lesion using bonded composite or glass ionomer cement). The limited antibacterial effects of CH have been shown before 31 , 32 , which raises doubts as to the suitability of this widely used material for treating deep and contaminated dentin. The possible advantages of Biodentine, a calcium silicate cement, over CH have also been demonstrated 33 .…”

“…It can be handled easily and shows minimal to no tooth discolouration. 14,15 Consequently, there is significant interest among endodontists regarding iRoot BP Plus and it has been reported to be successfully used for procedures such as pulpotomy, pulp floor perforation repair, root perforation repair and root end filling. However, there are only a few reports in the literature on the use of iRoot BP Plus for the management of traumatized teeth with pulp exposure.…”
