Abstract: Introduction: Antimicrobial abuse is a serious risk factor for the emergence of multi-drug-resistant (MDR) pathogens. Multidrug resistant (MDR) Klebsiella pneumoniae is an increasing cause of blood stream infections in India and in other developing countries.
