Abstract:BACKGROUND: Urinary tract infections are among the most common infectious diseases in women and are the most frequent cause of infectious complications of pregnancy, especially in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes mellitus. For adequate treatment of urinary tract infections in pregnant women with type 1 diabetes mellitus, it is requisite to regularly monitor antimicrobial resistance of uropathogens in order to update empirical schemes of antibacterial therapy.
