Abstract:The anti‐fascist movement, or antifa, is a broad‐based and diffuse countermovement to the organizing and mobilizing efforts of the far right. While scholarly and colloquial definitions of fascism vary widely, antifa activists generally define it as an ideology that asserts an inherent biological and social hierarchy of people which is maintained using violence.
