Antimicrobial Activities of Moringa, Neem and Ginger Plant Extracts against Bacteria Associated with the Spoilage of Fruit Juice

Abstract: Aim: This study aims to evaluate the antibacterial activity of Moringa, Neem, and Ginger plant extracts on the bacteria species isolated from fruit juice samples. Place and Duration of Study: Department of Microbiology, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State, Nigeria, between October 2019 and November 2019. Methods: The fruit juice sample was prepared and cultured on Mannitol Salt Agar (MSA), Eosin Methylene Blue (EMB), Salmonella Shigella Agar (SSA), and Blood Agar using str… Show more

“…Two observers blinded to the participants' information conducted manual 3D segmentation of the MPRAGE using ITK-SNAP (Insight segmentation and registration toolkit-Snake automatic partitioning; Penn Image Computing and Science Laboratory, University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA). 15 The DICOM datasets were imported into the ITK-SNAP and presented in sagittal, coronal, and axial slices. The open-source medical imaging program ITK-SNAP is based on geodesic active-contour and region competition methods; it provides manual and semi-automatic tools to measure the volumes of anatomical regions of interest.…”

“…The open-source medical imaging program ITK-SNAP is based on geodesic active-contour and region competition methods; it provides manual and semi-automatic tools to measure the volumes of anatomical regions of interest. 15 The program has been validated previously for volumetric and morphometric analyses of the caudate nucleus. 16 Intraosseous lesions were identi ed and delineated using semi-automatic segmentation.…”
