Antioxidant Property of the Egyptian Propolis Extract Versus Aluminum Silicate Intoxication on a Rat’s Lung: Histopathological Studies

Abstract: In this study, we evaluated the inflammatory responses induced by aluminum silicate (AS) cytotoxicity in rat lungs. The prophylactic effect of propolis extract was evaluated in 60 adult male albino rats. The rats were divided into six groups: (1) a normal, healthy control group; (2) a normal group fed with 200 mL of propolis extract/Kg; (3) a low-dose positive control group injected with 5 mg/kg of AS; (4) a treated group given propolis and a low dose of AS; (5) a high-dose positive control group injected with… Show more

“…Such changes lead to rupture of blood vessels and cause accumulation of blood cells and plasma in the connective-tissue area of the cerebral cortex. Blood is trapped in this layer in the form of tissue haemorrhage (Abu Almaaty et al, 2020). This study was supported by Said and Rabo (2017) that Al can cause hemorrhagic and congestion of blood vessels in the cerebral cortex.…”

“…Lasers are considered one of the most important modern techniques used in the cleaning process, as they differ from the traditional cleaning methods, whether mechanical or chemical. The value of the laser technique is seen when it is used to clean pigment materials surfaces that are often very sensitive and difficult to clean, as the laser deals with the stains found on the surfaces of these materials without direct interaction by producing an intense laser beam in which each wave is coherent with the others near it [ 4 , 5 , 6 ]. One promising type of laser is the solid-state laser via YAG crystal, which is an acronym for neodymium-doped yttrium–aluminum–garnet (Nd:Y 3 Al 5 O 12 ) [ 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 ], and emits typically in the near infrared region (NIR) at λ = 1064 nm (ω).…”
