Anyon Quantum Transport and Noise Away from Equilibrium

Abstract: The quantum transport of anyons in one space dimension is investigated. After establishing some universal features of non-equilibrium systems in contact with two heat reservoirs in a generalized Gibbs state, the abelian anyon solution of the Tomonaga-Luttinger model possessing axial-vector duality is focused upon. In this context a non-equilibrium representation of the physical observables is constructed, which is the basic tool for a systematic study of the anyon particle and heat transport. The associated Lo… Show more

“…It will be very interesting to test the representation π mix in other continuous or lattice systems with non-trivial bulk interactions. An intriguing possibility in this respect is the implementation of the mixed distributions (2,5) in the setup of non-equilibrium conformal field theory [18,63,64,50].…”

“…From (50) it follows that for fixed reservoir distributions d + i (ω(k)) the profile of I(k) determines both the direction of the current and the energy range of the excitations which form the flow. For a more detailed analysis of (50) it is convenient to rewrite it in the form j(t, x…”

“…Since then, a considerable amount of work has been done to characterize the thermodynamical properties of one dimensional Luttinger liquids. In particular, intense study has been devoted to systems out of equilibrium whose ends are in contact with thermal reservoirs at temperatures T l and T r : this idea has been successfully applied to obtain exact results for conformal field theories which asymptotically evolve into steady states [8][9][10][11] and to the study of the quantum transport of anyons in one space dimension [12][13][14].…”
