Abstract:This article describes 2 clinical cases of aorto-esophageal fistula (AEF) in patients after endoscopic stenting of the esophagus with a self-expanding mesh stent, which we encountered in our institution (City Clinical Oncology Center, St. Petersburg). In addition, a review of the available literature on this issue was carried out with a special focus on the risk factors for the development of AEF.
