Abstract:An aperiodic fiber grating with asymmetric reflection spectrum structure is studied, and its spectrum characteristics are described by an introduced parameter, the spectrum profile slope, which can measure the spectrum asymmetric property. Based on the fiber gratings with asymmetric reflection spectra, a new sort of tunable narrow band-pass fiber grating filter is designed as its application, whose characteristics, namely working wavelength, band width, and tunable range, are analyzed as well.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
