Abstract:Licorice extracts contain various useful substances for oral health. Alkaline extract showed potent anti-HIV activity, whereas flavonoid-rich water extracts showed potent anti-HSV activity, closely correlated with polarizability, ionization potential, a number of ring systems, atomic number and mass.
