Application of a Novel Au@ZIF-8 Composite in the Detection of Bisphenol A by Surface-Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy

Abstract: Bisphenol A (BPA) is an endocrine disruptor which is widely present in fish under the influence of environmental pollution. It is essential to establish a rapid detection method for BPA. Zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF-8) is a typical metal-organic framework material (MOFs) with a strong adsorption capacity, which can effectively adsorb harmful substances in food. Combining MOFs and surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) can achieve rapid and accurate screening of toxic substances. In this study, a rap… Show more

“…20 Especially, due to the advantages of large surface area, small pore size and easy preparation, zeolite imidazolate framework-8 (ZIF-8) has become a good candidate to support nanoparticles. [20][21][22][23] Inspired by this enlightenment, Os@ZIF-8 nanocomposites were designed and applied for detection of mercury. 2.2 Preparation of Os@ZIF-8 NCs 0.015 mL K 2 OsCl 6 (0.1 M) was added into 1 mL H 2 O in a round bottom ask and stirred vigorously for 30 minutes at room temperature.…”

“…Currently, there are several established methods for detecting lipid oxidation, such as the iodometric method, the thiobarbituric acid method, and the anisidine method. With technological advancements, fluorescence spectroscopy [4], high-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry [5], near-infrared spectroscopy [6], infrared spectroscopy [7], nuclear magnetic resonance [8,9], and Raman spectroscopy [10,11] have also been utilized for lipid oxidation evaluation. However, these detection methods are limited by their expensive equipment and complex operation, which makes them unsuitable for daily use and impractical for the average consumer who wants to determine the edibility of their edible oils.…”
