Abstract:This retrospective case study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of collagen matrix
(DuraGen
®
) in preventing subcutaneous emphysema, a common complication
following dorsal rhinotomy. Six client-owned dogs diagnosed with nasal masses using
computed tomography were included in this study. Dorsal rhinotomy was performed, and a
collagen matrix was used to seal bone defects before fixation of the nasal bone flap.
